Austin’s Food + Wine Festival is the city’s premier celebration of all things yummy in the 512. And this year, it’s celebrating 10 years.

To prepare you for a weekend of wining and dining, here’s everything you need to know ahead of the four-day event.

First, the deets.

Although the festival includes welcome events at Lutie’s, Canje + Salt & Time earlier in the week, the main events take place Saturday + Sunday at Auditorium Shores + Republic Square Park. (Pro tip: If you’re driving downtown this weekend, you might want to avoid that stretch of Riverside Drive.)

On Friday, there will also be a more exclusive Grillin’ and Chillin’ event, where attendees can get lessons on how to grill from Chef Tim Love.

Who’s going to be there?

Only the best and brightest in Austin cuisine. Chefs from local favorites such as Suerte, Old Thousand, Otoko, and dozens of others will be participating in demos and showcases.

What events will be taking place?

As in, will I be able to taste the food? Don’t worry — you will.

🍷 Watch chefs perform cooking demos

🍷 Get your books signed by the chefs that wrote them

🍷 Learn “the real story of the gin and tonic” at tasting sessions

🍷 “Meet the Maker” of some of your favorite drinks

🍷 Get a front row seat of your favorite chefs in action at the Fire Pit

What we’ll be waiting for

The crazy creative tacos sure to come out of the Rock Your Taco showdown on Saturday night. Chefs behind Austin’s best restaurants — think uchi, Ramen Tatsu-Ya, la Barbecue, and sway — will compete with each other for a shot at the taco crown. 🌮

If you haven’t yet scored tickets, don’t worry. Although sold out on the festival website, weekend tickets are currently available for resale. Tickets to opening dinners at Canje and Luties are also still up for grabs.
