Blues on the Green returns to Zilker Park this week, June 11-12.

This year’s concert series will feature new experiences and popular ATX bands, but the outlook wasn’t always as sunny for the 2024 event.

Let’s take a look at how we got here + what to expect.

What happened?

  • January 17: Austin City Limits Radio announces that Blues on the Green is canceled for 2024, citing rising costs + a need for additional support.
  • February 15: Austin City Council approves Resolution 23, which authorizes the city to co-sponsor the event. H-E-B also increases its financial support.
  • February 16: It’s official — Blues on the Green is back for summer 2024.

Who’s playing?

Check out the lineup for Tuesday, June 11. Music starts at 7 p.m. both evenings.
