$4 million homes featuring views soaring hundreds of feet over Lake Austin: This hilltop overlooking the Pennybacker Bridge is about to be transformed.

Project leaders announced plans for the Four Seasons Private Residences Lake Austin, the hotel chain’s first development of its kind in the state. The Westlake project, a partnership with Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts, Austin Capital Partners, and real estate firm Hines, will sit atop one of the last undeveloped plots of land on the lake.

The plan preserves 2,000+ feet of shoreline from development and sets aside half of the property’s waterfront acreage for public access, including 16 acres with hike and bike trails — it’s the first new public park on Lake Austin in decades, project leaders say. 🌳

The luxury development will include spaces such as:

  • The Orangerie indoor garden with an 82-foot-long indoor pool 🏊
  • A 60,000 sqft athletic center complete with tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts
  • A spa with hot and cold plunge pools and a beauty salon
  • A clubhouse featuring a 300-foot infinity pool, and a theater with a 60-ft screen 🎬
  • A private, two-story restaurant
  • A funicular leading down to the Lake Clubhouse and private boat docks

Reservations are already being accepted, but you might want to break open that piggy bank — residences start at $4 million. Floorplans range from 1,900-7,000 sqft, and ~36% of the residential space has been confirmed.

Here’s more information about the project:

  • 145-acre community
  • 90 acres will be preserve and parkland 🌿
  • Located 20 minutes from downtown
  • Includes 18 buildings containing 179 residences
  • Residences will have views 280-380 feet above Lake Austin

Project leaders expect to break ground on the development in 2023, and it is set to be completed by 2025.
