Hi readers, Morgan’s on the mic. In celebration of Austin’s beverage scene, I’m sharing my top three drinks in the city by day and night.

Day

Three frozen Aperol Spritz drinks with lemon slices as garnishes and tall straws on a red counter.

Favorite Pizza, 801 W. 6th St. | Originally named “Favorite Slush,” the Outfielder (a frozen Aperol cocktail) is always a refreshing complement to a pepperoni slice.

Hold Out Brewing, 1208 W. 4th St. | I swoon over the Liquid Television — it’s a hazy IPA described as “candied tropical fog.”

JuiceLand, multiple locations | I alternate between the Clementine and the Berry Godmother.

Night

A drink in a Chinese takeout box is garnished with mint leaves, an orange slice, an umbrella, and a straw that resembles bamboo. The drink is next to two plates of food, one is five brisket rangoons and the other is fried mac and cheese balls.

Anthem’s appetizers and tiki cocktails are the stars of the show.
