West Chelsea Contemporary to host Art From The Streets pop-up this weekend

See two art shows at once at this weekend’s pop-up, which will showcase both the gallery’s current “iconic.” exhibition and several works from Art From The Streets artists.

An art gallery, with several walls of art layered in the frame. In the foreground, a large square artwork depicts a peaceful scene of trees and sky reflected in water. In the background, three artworks hang side-by-side and show a girl's head centered among varying patterns. To the right, more artworks are visible hanging above a bookshelf.

See West Chelsea Contemporary’s “iconic” exhibit from now until Sunday, Feb. 25.

What’s better than seeing one art show? Seeing two art shows at once.

The West Chelsea Contemporary will host a pop-up show with Art From The Streets this weekend. In all, the event includes a reception from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10 and a full show day from 12 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11.

During those times, visitors will be able to see both artwork from Art From The Streets — which supports artists experiencing homelessness — and the gallery’s ongoing “iconic.” exhibit.

If you can’t make it out this weekend, “iconic.” will be on display at WCC through Sunday, Feb. 25, and features work from several internationally known artists, including:

  • Banksy
  • Shepard Fairey
  • James Rosenquist
  • Robert Indiana
  • KAWS
