Whether you want to sip a cocktail by the pool or chow down on a cheeseburger flight, here are six things to do in Austin over the holiday weekend.

Texas Cool Labor Day | Sunday, Sept. 1 | 2-6 p.m. | Austin Motel | Cost of purchase | Bad Larry Burger Club will serve up burgers while DJ Selector Larry plays tunes from cassette tapes at this first-come, first-served bash by the pool.

Carpenter’s BBQ Pool Party | Sunday, Sept. 1 | 2-6 p.m. | Carpenter Hotel | $55 | Chow down on classic summer eats like hot dogs, pork ribs, watermelon salad, pasta salad, and pickles. Plus, enjoy live music by Ryan Quiet while you swim.
