AfroTech, a technology conference that brings together predominantly Black-owned companies, will move its 2024 event to Houston after two years in Austin.
The conference announced the shift on Instagram on the last day of this year’s conference, which ran from Wednesday, Nov. 1-Sunday, Nov. 5 in Downtown Austin. The conference drew 20,000+ attendees and prominent speakers including Austin-based billionaire Robert F. Smith.
The post said to look forward to “larger stage sizes, more founder conversations, tech deep dives and lower ticket prices.”
The conference has moved a few times — originating in San Francisco, then moving to Oakland, then to Austin — and frequently hosts events across the US.
Tickets are already on sale for the 2024 event (which will be held from November 13-16) starting at $325, if you can make the drive.
