Some people make to-do lists — we make to-dine lists. Many hot, new Austin restaurants have opened over the past several months, from upscale dining to smash burgers.

To satisfy those who are really hungry for fresh dining options, we’ve got details on several more Bat City restaurants coming soon, too. Grab your forks as we dig right in.

Newly open

Allday Pizza , 3111 W. 35th St. | Pizza | Reservations: No
Order pizza and full pies by the slice at this counter at Flo’s Wine Bar and Bottle Shop. The pizzeria uses a 48-hour cold fermented dough to make its pies, but also offers a calzone, Caesar salad, olive oil cake, and soft serve.

Bacalar , 44 East Ave., #100 | Mexican | Reservations: Yes
This upscale restaurant, which overlooks Lady Bird Lake, comes from 2021 “Top Chef” winner Gabe Erales. Dine on dishes like grilled gulf shrimp, seasonal fruit aguachile, and cochinita pibil.

Brooklyn Dumpling Shop , 1401 E. 6th St., Ste. 201 | Dumplings | Reservations: No
Choose from specialty, vegan, gluten free, and dessert dumplings at this dumpling automat, which will open four other locations in Austin.

Ezov, the newest concept from the Emmer & Rye Hospitality Group, serves up delicious Mediterranean fare.

Cuantas Hamburguesas , 1108 E. 12th St. | Burgers | Reservations: No
Cuantos Tacos branched out with hamburguesas at this new concept at Arbor Food Park. The Mexican-style smash burgers come in four styles: Hawaiiana, Campechana, Americana, and Sincronizada.

Double Trouble , 103 N. Loop Blvd. E. | Coffee and tacos | Reservations: No
This new taco spot, from the team behind the Vegan Nom and Barrett’s coffee, was recently named a winner in Austin Monthly’s “Best of ATX .”

Dovetail Pizza , 1816 S. 1st St. | Pizza | Reservations: No
The South Austin spot offers a range of pies, plus fried olives, smoked eggplant, baked ricotta, and a selection of salads and pasta.

Elementary , 2026 S. Lamar Blvd. | New American | Reservations: Yes
Take it back to your school days at this South Austin restaurant serving burrata toast, hiramasa crudo, al pastor tortellini, and other fusion dishes.

Pick up lunch, a drink, and a sweet treat at Goldy’s.

El Raval , 1500 S. Lamar Blvd. | Tapas | Reservations: Yes
Chef Laila Bazahm’s restaurant, inspired by Barcelona’s El Raval neighborhood, centers on Spanish cuisine with North African, Middle Eastern, and Asian influences.

Ezov , 2708 E. Cesar Chavez St. | Mediterranean | Reservations: Yes
Dig into chicken shawarma, falafel, sigarim, and other Mediterranean dishes at this new concept from the team behind Canje, Emmer & Rye, and Hestia.

Fabrik , 1701 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. | Plant-based fine dining | Reservations: Yes
This sustainability-focused fine dining restaurant serves plant-based, five- or seven-course menus, including dishes like parsnip cappelletti, cashew cheesecake, and beet tartelette.

Goldy’s , 2401 Winsted Lane | Cafe | Reservations: No
From the team behind Cookie Rich , Goldy’s serves all-day breakfast and lunch dishes like roasted chicken paninis, marinated tomato salad, and avocado hash browns.

Step into a luxe environment at Pearl Dive Oyster Bar.

Pearl Dive Oyster Bar , 1611 W. 5th St., Ste. 105 | Seafood | Reservations: Yes
It’s all champagne towers, oysters, and seafood dishes at this new Clarksville-adjacent restaurant.

Pershing East , 2501 E. 5th St. | Cafe | Reservations: No
Sip a coffee and grab a lunch from this coffee shop’s menu, which includes pastries from Sour Duck Market, breakfast focaccias, and sandwiches.

Underdog , 1600 S. 1st St., Ste. 100 | Korean American | Reservations: Yes
Order a glass of wine — or a bottle — to pair with your meal at this restaurant and wine bar. Peruse a menu honoring founder Claudia Hargreave’s Korean heritage, and keep an eye out for 10-year-old rescue dog, Squid.

Try Greek meatballs, grilled octopus, and a marouli salad at Yamas.

Yamas Greek Kitchen and Bar , 5308 Balcones Dr. | Greek | Reservations: Yes
Owners Chris and Roxie Nikolakos designed Yamas around the Greek concept of “filoxenia,” or “making a stranger a friend.” The menu includes mezze like spanakopita and grilled octopus, a raw bar, pasta, plus a selection of seafood.

Bureau de Poste , 4300 Speedway | French | Projected opening: Tuesday, Oct. 3
Tiny Grocer’s Steph Steele teamed up with former “Top Chef” contender Jo Chan to create this French comfort food restaurant. Expect to find wine, escargot, and confit duck legs on the menu.

Uchibā , 601 W. 2nd St. | Sushi | Projected opening: Friday, Oct. 6
The latest concept from Chef Tyson Cole’s Uchi and Uchiko , Uchibā is designed to be a gathering space for trying classic bites and yakitori grill items, while also serving cocktails and a range of Japanese whiskies.

Nômadé Cocina , 1506 S. 1st St. | Mexican fusion | Projected opening: October 2023
The team behind Lucky Robot is branching out into Yucatán-inspired fare with this new space, which will offer a gluten-free menu with influences from Lebanese, pan-African, and Portuguese food.

Taste Japanese fare and Japanese whiskies at the soon-to-open Uchibā.

Zoé Tong , 1530 Barton Springs Rd. | Chinese | Projected opening: Fall 2023
Dubbed “modern Austin Chinese,” the food at Zoé Tong will be developed by New Yorkers Simone Tong of Little Tong Noodle Shop and Matthew Hyland of Emily Pizza.

Tare , 12414 Alderbrook Dr. | Omakase | Projected opening: Fall 2023
After operating as a pop-up and private event omakase business for three years, Tare will open its own brick-and-mortar this fall.

Bambino , Address TBD | Pizza | Projected opening: Summer 2024
The team behind L’Oca d’Oro announced plans to open a pizzeria in Govalle next summer, inspired by New York pizza and “grandma pies.”
