Did you know there are thousands of South Africans who call Texas home?

This Sat., Sept. 24 is South African Heritage Day — to commemorate, the South African Food Affair + Louis’s South African Foods are hosting the 2nd Annual South African Bazaar.

Last year, the event drew roughly 750 Austinites together in celebration of South African food, art, and culture. Here’s what you can expect from this year’s event:

  • Delicious bites such as peri-peri chicken, boerewors sausage, and milk tarts
  • South African wines and beers
  • Almost two dozen vendors selling art, fashion, and crafts
  • Services from South African-owned companies

The bazaar will take place Saturday at the Sterling Event Center from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more details, check out the event’s Facebook page here.
