Hello Monday.

August 08 2022

31 days of summer fun ☀️

Believe it or not, Austin, but it’s already August. It won’t be long before school supplies hit the shelves and local campuses + coffee shops are once again swamped with studying students.

August may be the Sunday of summer, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make the most of it. Here are eight must-do events taking place around town this month that will help you experience your best August yet.

Zilker Botanical Garden is already pretty magical, but throw in a faerie garden workshop? Little ones will be enchanted. | Photo via @nataliealtamirano

Drink Up Week

Cheers, Austin 🥂

Cheers to the many businesses and Austinites that participated in Austin’s inaugural Drink Up Week.

We had the best time supporting our neighborhood bars and restaurants + amplifying the talents of local beverage makers across the Capital City.

Although the festivities ended yesterday, we will continue to celebrate our local drinkeries.

Here’s how to keep the party going:

💧 Hydrate with 100% sustainable, naturally-captured, pure rainwater with locally based Richard’s Rainwater.

🥃 Drink Desert Door Distillery’s Pollinator sotol, which contains notes of mesquite, grapefruit, and honeysuckle, which benefits Wild Spirit Wild Places.

🍹 Enjoy non-alcoholic spirits using these local mocktail ingredients.

☕ Sip along to the ATXtoday East Austin Coffee Crawl.

🎉 Shake things up with these ATXtoday-approved happy hours for every type of drinker.
