Put your horns in the air. Austin is the best college town to live in after college, according to real estate website Point2’s recent list.

The study looked at the 100 most successful universities located in 86 cities (hey there, UT) and towns across the US.

Shoutout to our sister cities FTWtoday, SEAtoday, RALtoday, and NASHtoday, which also made the top 10.

What factors made the Capital City land the No.1 spot? Four categories contributed to a city’s ranking — human capital, housing, economic activity, and earning power + equity.

The city’s increase in the number of businesses, number of permits, increase in number of housing units, and population growth contributed most to ATX’s top spot.

The 15 factors across those four main dimensions are as follows (with Austin’s rankings):

  • Increase in number of businesses — No.2
  • Number of permits — No.3
  • Increase in number of housing units — No.7
  • Population Growth — No.8
  • Number of patents — No.9
  • Income Growth — No.13
